Emotion Study

We conduct a number of studies on emotion. These usually involve participating in interviews, looking at different pictures or short movies, and telling us how you feel during these experiences. We often videotape and later code the different facial expressions people display during these activities. In some studies, we also record people’s heart rate and palm sweating during these activities, and in other studies we look at how the brain responds to the emotional events using an fMRI scanner.

We are NOT currently recruiting for these studies. Check back to the UC Berkeley Mental Health website for updates about these types of studies.
